Our Initiatives
Jobs for Life
Nothing attacks dignity like a lack of work. The suffering and consequences of unemployment and underemployment are pervasive and tear at the fabric of our community. Our Jobs for Life initiative faces this problem head on by training adults for success in the workplace.

Faith and Finances
Regardless of your socioeconomic status, poor spending habits can keep an individual trapped in a vicious cycle of financial crisis. But we serve a God who came to redeem us and make all things new, even our relationship with money. CornerStone’s Faith and Finances 12-week course lays the foundation for good financial literacy by discussing money in the context of relationships, attitudes, values, and obstacles. Our next class begins August 2026

Amplify
Amplify exists for alumni of Jobs for Life or Faith and Finances who would like to continue being encouraged through long-term mentoring. Amplify “turns up the volume” of the good that began in class and encourages participants to continue to grow in every area of their lives.
Our trained mentors walk participants through H.E.A.R.T. goal setting—Home and Health, Employment and Education, Attitude (Emotional and Spiritual health), Resources (Financial), and Team (Support Network) for up to a year. Participants will meet in a small group and in a one-on-one session with their mentor each month. Alumni who wish to participate in Amplify can apply by speaking to Tony Akers, Director of Ministry Initiatives.
Trauma Care
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" ~Psalm 34:18
You may feel broken — but healing is possible. Trauma Care is for CornerStone alumni who have completed either Faith & Finances or Jobs for Life. Participants are given a safe, non-judgmental space to share vulnerably while being equipped with practical mental health tools and faith formation practices. Sessions take place in intimate small groups of 4–5 women, led by licensed practitioners.
Good Works: Discovering Your Vocational Voice
New for 2026! Good Works is a 4-session class that guides you through self-discovery with real assessments (personality, strengths, career interests) to uncover how you’re uniquely wired. Each session builds on the last and you will identify your gifts, connect them to real career paths, and honestly face barriers that might be standing in your way. All this is done within a framework that says your work and your calling don’t have to be two different things. It’s part Bible study, part vocational coaching, part honest conversation. If it feels like your job and your purpose don’t match, this opportunity might be for you! Class begins November 23.
