Better Together: Mission Driven Research + EnVision GovCon Solutions—leading the way for CornerStone!
There are sponsors who give because they believe in a good event.
And then there are sponsors who give because they believe in people, in transformation, and in the kind of community impact that lasts.
That’s why CornerStone is so grateful to share that EnVision GovCon Solutions and Mission Driven Research are once again stepping up as Co-Presenting Sponsors of our upcoming Cornhole for CornerStone Tournament.
Their support is more than generous. It’s a meaningful affirmation of our mission and a reminder that there are leaders in our community who care deeply about lasting change, not only for today, but for eternity.
And the truth is, their impact didn’t begin with a check.
Their impact began with their hearts.
MDR: A Culture of Extra Mile Generosity
The MDR team’s story with CornerStone goes back to what many of our longtime friends remember as our C4 Conferences (CornerStone Conference for Community Compassion). MDR didn’t just attend, they leaned in. They showed up year after year, eventually sponsoring tables because they were committed to learning, growing, and engaging with what CornerStone was building in Huntsville.
Over time, Chris Gordon brought members of his leadership team to learn more about CornerStone’s mission and vision. Later, I was invited to share more with the broader MDR team, and our relationship continued to deepen.
One of the greatest gifts in MDR’s partnership has been their spiritual investment. We’ve received notes from MDR team members simply reminding us: “We’re praying for you.” And those words have carried more weight than they know.
MDR has also supported CornerStone in ways many people never see. One example that feels so personal to us: helping ensure that every Faith & Finances graduate receives a crockpot as a graduation gift. It’s practical, it’s thoughtful, and it communicates dignity and celebration.
Two of MDR’s core values are to GO the Extra Mile and GIVE Generously and we’ve seen those values lived out again and again.
EnVision GovCon: A Partner Who Shows Up
Glenn Turner and I (Debbi Akers) have been friends for decades. When I stepped into the role of Executive Director at CornerStone in 2016, Glenn didn’t just cheer from the sidelines. Less than six months later, he joined our Board of Directors, ready to support both the ministry and the leadership journey ahead.
Glenn was especially passionate about Jobs for Life, and over the next five years he became the kind of board member every nonprofit prays for: engaged, steady, and willing to step into whatever was needed as CornerStone grew, pivoted, and expanded our reach.
Even after rolling off the Board of Directors, Glenn’s commitment never slowed down. He continues to serve faithfully in Jobs for Life and on our Board of Influencers, bringing encouragement, wisdom, and practical support in fundraising and development.
That’s who EnVision is to us: not just a sponsor, but a consistent presence in the work.
A Sponsorship That Became a Collaboration
In 2023, MDR approached CornerStone about becoming a Presenting Sponsor and they didn’t just sign up for one year. They made a commitment to sponsor for three years, with the hope that their leadership would challenge others to pick up the mantle in future seasons.
What we didn’t fully anticipate was how beautifully that commitment would grow into what we’re seeing now: two respected, thriving companies, coming together to champion a ministry they both believe in.
That’s the heartbeat of “Better Together.”
Thank You, MDR + EnVision
To Glenn Turner, Chris Gordon, and Ryan Ezell and to the teams at EnVision GovCon Solutions and Mission Driven Research:
Thank you for your leadership. Thank you for your generosity. Thank you for investing not only resources, but time, prayer, and presence. Your partnership helps ensure that the fun we have on the boards translates into real, lasting impact in our community.
We are grateful to have you by our side, and we cannot wait to see what God will do through this year’s Cornhole for CornerStone Tournament.
Better together, indeed.
