Jobs for Life

Nothing attacks one's dignity like a lack of work. The suffering and consequences of unemployment and underemployment are pervasive and tear at the fabric of our community. Our Jobs for Life initiative faces this problem head on by training adults for success in the workplace.

Faith and Finances

Regardless of your socioeconomic status, poor spending habits can keep an individual trapped in a vicious cycle of financial crisis. But we serve a God who came to redeem us and make all things new, even our relationship with money.  CornerStone’s Faith and Finances 12-week course lays the foundation for good financial literacy by discussing money in the context of relationships, attitudes, values, and obstacles. Registration for the August class is open now.

Amplify

Amplify exists for alumni of Jobs for Life or Faith and Finances who would like to continue being encouraged through long-term mentoring. Amplify “turns up the volume” of the good that began in class and encourages participants to continue to grow in every area of their lives.

Our trained mentors walk participants through H.E.A.R.T. goal setting—Home and Health, Employment and Education, Attitude (Emotional and Spiritual health), Resources (Financial), and Team (Support Network) for up to a year. Participants will meet in a small group and in a one-on-one session with their mentor each month. Alumni who wish to participate in Amplify can apply by speaking to Tony Akers, Director of Ministry Initiatives.

Trauma REBOOT

Trauma REBOOT is a nationally recognized, outcomes-driven trauma healing course. The curriculum offers a blend of clinical and faith-based material over a 12 week period. Trauma REBOOT empowers everyday people to overcome trauma and embrace a brighter future. Alumni of Jobs for Life or Faith and Finances are invited to participate. Participants meet in a small group and are led by Amy Talton, Director of Community Care.
